This was my second trip to Brazil in the last few months. There were so many sights to see, events to attend, friends to talk to and places to go. From the arrival at the hotel, I was checked in by Daniel, who began the introduction to a exceptional experience. The service, care and quality I received went beyond mere hospitality. From ensuring I was comfortable with the room, assisting with a magnificent upgrade, to finding the best porter whos kindness is usually found among friends. The location, food and views were amazing. Yet what really really set this apart what happened about half way through the trip. I had received some bad news that morning and overcome with emotion shed tears into my breakfast. Again the staff was there, as Neide calmed me, consoled me and was ready to provide anything to make my stay better. Trying to make the most of the day, a conversation with the staff and concierge got me tickets to a Samba school where I dance the night away, with new friends I met and let the cares wash away. I ended my trip with a calm night sitting on the rocks watching the sun set. Ive been to 25 countries around the world, and most major US cities, stayed in countless hotels, even worked with a few. I can say with full confidence that my experience would have been less then memorable if not for such a tremendous service and care that I received. Just in case my sincere and heartfelt response wasn't informative enough. The Rio Othon is (currently) the tallest, this not only offers the best views it also makes it easy to spot. The beach spots, restaurants and shops near by make the location very convenient. Yet one of the best things about this is the familiarity, with my limited Brazilian not needed, I simply held up by room key to taxis and with a nod was on the way. I recommend everyone visit Rio at least once. Book in advance for the best deals. And even it its only for a day, stay at the Rio Othon its an experience you wont forget. Thank you All.

We got an upgrade from Super Luxury Room with Frontal Sea View to Suite with Frontal Sea View . The view is absolutely fantastic . The facilities must have been exceptional when the hotel was new but now the lack of refurbishmente in recent years shows clearly wich is a pity because due to the location and (for Copacabana) exceptional height of the building the comfort could be exceptional . Breakfast at the Skylab restaurant was exceptional and all meals which we had at this restaurant were very good and also the service . The fitness center of the hotel is so well equipped that it could serve professional athletes . Check-in and check-out were fast and friendly .

Hotel Othon Rio Palace is very good. The rooms are not luxury but super comfortably. One of the best hotels in Copacabana. Close to tradicional restaurants and bops in this area where you can drink a tasty shop. Shop means beer. The rooftop is beautiful with a view to Pão de açúcar. Tou can make gorgeous pictures from that point. You have many leisure options inside the property. Spa, gym, playground for the kids. De staff is friendly and helps you every time. Breakfast is a topical Brazilian breakfast with cuscuz, pão de queijo and many fruit options. Super tasty!

Location was perfect. Waking up to the sights and sounds with a sea front view room was just perfect. We had a family room with 2 doubles. Super clean hotel, breakfast was delicious, lobby comfy and staff friendly. Rooftop Pool, Skylab bar and drinks and food very amazing! Best views! Kids club available, seemed good and super safe for little ones. Beach towels and chairs complimentary across the road at Wave Othon. Also 10% off food.

Amazing location. We'd reserved a room with a side sea view and we're glad we did: We walked into a room on the 23rd floor that was full of light and with a panoramic view of the beach below, and of fort and hills off in the distance. We often spend are first day in Rio when my wife and I come to Brazil to visit her family. We both decided the Othon will be "our" hotel for future stays.
